Summary
Palti was the Benjamite spy sent by Moses to explore Canaan, and also the name of the man to whom Saul gave David's wife Michal.
☩The Spy
Palti son of Raphu was chosen to represent the tribe of Benjamin among the twelve spies sent by Moses to search out the land of Canaan. He was among the ten spies who brought back a fearful report, in contrast to Joshua and Caleb who urged trust in God.

☩Husband of Michal
A different Palti (also called Paltiel) was the man to whom King Saul gave Michal, David's wife, after the estrangement between David and Saul. When David later demanded Michal's return, she was taken from Paltiel, who followed her weeping until Abner ordered him back.
