Paltiel son of Azzan was the prince of Issachar appointed to help divide the Promised Land among the tribes of Israel.
☩Role in Land Division
Paltiel was chosen as the representative of the tribe of Issachar to assist in the division of Canaan among the tribes. He was one of twelve tribal leaders appointed by God through Moses to oversee the fair distribution of the land west of the Jordan River. This appointment came as the Israelites prepared to enter the Promised Land under Joshua's leadership.
