Crusade Bible (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our application (“App”). By using Crusade Bible, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Information You Provide

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. This is collected directly through the sign-up form in the App. We also collect your reading preferences and settings, such as font size, font type, and theme, which are provided when you adjust these in the App's settings. If you choose to bookmark chapters, highlight verses, or save verses, these are stored securely and privately in your account. This data is collected when you interact with these features.

Information from Guests

Guests may browse and read Bible content without providing any personal information. No identifying information is collected from guest users. Guest preferences (e.g., font settings) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

Automatically Collected Information

We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising services. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, location information, or usage data beyond what is strictly required for basic application functionality, such as maintaining your session during use. No data is collected automatically without your explicit action (e.g., creating an account or saving preferences).

We adhere to data minimization principles and only collect data necessary for the App's core functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely for the purposes described below, with your consent where required:

To provide and improve our services, such as displaying Bible content and personalizing your reading experience.
To save your reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, and settings across devices for authenticated users.
To manage your account and authentication, including verifying your identity and securing your data.
To respond to user requests, support inquiries, or feedback.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

User data is securely stored using our third-party cloud service provider, which uses encryption and security measures to protect your data both in transit (using HTTPS) and at rest. This provider is contractually obligated to provide the same or equal protection as stated in this Privacy Policy and complies with applicable data protection laws.

We do not share, sell, or disclose your information to third parties except as required by law or to comply with legal processes. Any sharing with our third-party cloud service provider is solely for storage and processing purposes, and they are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and security.

4. Account Deletion, Data Retention, and Revocation of Consent

You may delete your account at any time using the "Delete Account" option available in the App settings.

Upon deletion, your account and all associated data (including bookmarks, highlights, saved verses, reading progress, and settings) will be permanently removed from our records.

We do not retain any personal data after your account is deleted.

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the App's services or as required by law. You can revoke your consent to data collection and processing at any time by deleting your account or contacting us (see Section 8). Revoking consent will limit access to personalized features but will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

5. Children’s Privacy

Crusade Bible is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these age thresholds. If we become aware that a child under the minimum age has created an account, we will promptly delete such information and terminate the account.

6. International Users and Data Transfers

Crusade Bible is intended for a global audience. By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be processed and stored in countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws. We ensure that any international data transfers comply with applicable laws, including using standard contractual clauses where necessary to provide adequate safeguards.

7. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted in the App. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
