Summary

The study of celestial bodies, acknowledged in Scripture as revealing God's glory while warning against the superstitious worship of heavenly objects.

God's Glory in the Heavens

Scripture presents the heavens as declaring God's glory and demonstrating His creative power. The Israelites were expected to observe the stars and recognize them as God's handiwork. God asked Job about the constellations: Orion, Pleiades, and the 'chambers of the south.' The wise men followed a star to find the newborn King.
