Summary

Nepheg was the name of two men in the Old Testament: a son of Izhar of the tribe of Levi, and a son of David born in Jerusalem.

The Levite

The first Nepheg was a son of Izhar, son of Kohath, of the tribe of Levi. He was thus a nephew of Amram and a cousin of Moses and Aaron. His brothers were Korah (who later led a rebellion against Moses) and Zichri.

Son of David

The second Nepheg was one of the sons born to David in Jerusalem. He is listed among David's children in both Samuel and Chronicles.
