Summary

A man of the tribe of Dan, father of Oholiab who was the skilled craftsman appointed to assist Bezalel in constructing the tabernacle.

Identity

Ahisamach was a Danite whose son Oholiab was divinely chosen alongside Bezalel to oversee the construction of the tabernacle and its furnishings. Oholiab was filled with the Spirit of God and given skill in all manner of workmanship—engraving, embroidering, and weaving. The name Ahisamach appears three times in the narrative, always in connection with identifying his famous son.
