Judging(uncharitableness, harsh judgement, rash judging)
Summary
The act of rendering decisions, discerning right from wrong, and administering justice, whether by human judges, the nation of Israel's judges, or God Himself.
☩Human Judgment
Scripture provides guidelines for righteous judging: judges must not show partiality, take bribes, or pervert justice (Deuteronomy 16:18-20). Jesus warned against hypocritical judging while also commanding righteous judgment (Matthew 7:1-5; John 7:24). Paul instructed believers to judge those within the church (1 Corinthians 5:12-13) and to settle disputes among themselves (1 Corinthians 6:1-6).
☩Divine Judgment
God is the ultimate Judge who will judge all people righteously (Psalm 96:13; Acts 17:31). The period of the Judges in Israel demonstrated God raising up deliverers to judge (govern and deliver) His people (Judges 2:16-19). Christ will return to judge the living and the dead (2 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 20:11-15).
