Summary

A Korhite warrior who joined David's band of mighty men at Ziklag during his fugitive years.

One of David's Warriors

Joezer was one of the Korhite warriors who defected to David while he was a fugitive at Ziklag, fleeing from King Saul. These men were described as being armed with bows and skilled in using stones as well as arrows with both the right and left hand—a mark of exceptional military ability. Though from Benjamin, Saul's own tribe, they recognized God's hand upon David and chose to support him. Joezer remained among David's famous bodyguard, contributing to the military strength that would eventually bring David to the throne over all Israel.
