Hashabnah was one of the chief men of the people who set their seal to the covenant made under Nehemiah.

Hashabnah is listed among the leaders of the people who subscribed to Nehemiah's covenant, by which Israel pledged to keep God's law and separate themselves from the surrounding peoples. The name is probably a variant form of Hashabiah, meaning 'whom Jehovah regards.'
