☩God's Sovereignty Over Time
God established times and seasons from the creation of the sun, moon, and stars. He changes times and seasons, removes kings and sets up kings. With the Lord a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. Jesus declared that the times and seasons the Father has set by His own authority are not for us to know.
☩Appointed Times
Scripture speaks of appointed times for God's purposes: 'To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.' God acts according to His own timetable: when the fullness of time came, He sent forth His Son. Believers are called to redeem the time because the days are evil, and to be alert to the signs of the times.
