☩The Conspiracy Against Athaliah
Elishaphat son of Zichri was one of the five 'captains of hundreds' whom Jehoiada the priest recruited for the conspiracy to overthrow Queen Athaliah and place the young prince Joash on the throne. These military commanders gathered the Levites from throughout Judah and made a covenant with Jehoiada in the house of God. They successfully executed the plan, protecting Joash during the coronation ceremony and executing Athaliah when she cried 'Treason!'
