He will establish

Summary

A name meaning 'he will establish,' borne by several biblical figures and notably the right-hand pillar at the entrance of Solomon's Temple.

The Temple Pillar

Jachin was the name of the right-hand (southern) pillar standing in the porch of Solomon's Temple, paired with Boaz on the left. These magnificent bronze columns, cast by Hiram of Tyre, stood eighteen cubits high with ornate capitals five cubits high decorated with lily-work and pomegranates. The name Jachin, meaning 'he will establish,' combined with Boaz ('in him is strength') formed a declaration of God's establishment and strength regarding His house and people.
