Summary

A light spear or javelin thrown as a weapon, used in warfare and mentioned figuratively in Scripture.

Military Weapon

Darts were thrown by soldiers in battle. Joab thrust three darts through the heart of Absalom as he hung helpless in the oak tree. The giant Goliath carried a javelin or dart between his shoulders. King Uzziah provided his army with shields, spears, helmets, and bows and slings for casting stones and shooting arrows.

Spiritual Warfare
