Disobedience to god

/dis-oh-BEE-dee-ens/

Summary

Failure to obey God's commands, which brought sin into the world through Adam and brings judgment upon all who refuse to submit to God.

Origin and Consequences

Through Adam's disobedience, sin entered the world and death through sin. Eve was deceived, but Adam deliberately disobeyed God's command not to eat of the forbidden tree. This single act of disobedience brought condemnation upon all humanity and corruption upon creation itself.
