Summary

Confident, fearless speech and action, especially in proclaiming the gospel and approaching God in prayer.

Apostolic Boldness

After Pentecost, the apostles spoke with remarkable boldness despite threats. The Jewish council noted that Peter and John were uneducated men, yet they spoke with boldness because they had been with Jesus. The early church prayed for boldness to speak God's word.

Boldness in Access to God

Believers have boldness to enter God's presence through the blood of Jesus. We may approach the throne of grace with confidence. This boldness in prayer comes from abiding in Christ and keeping His commandments.

The Righteous Are Bold

Proverbs teaches that the righteous are bold as a lion, while the wicked flee when no one pursues. This courage comes from fearing God rather than man and trusting in His promises.
