Naarath
/NAY-uh-rath/
Summary
Naarath was a place on the border of Ephraim, near Jericho, apparently the same as Naaran in Chronicles.
☩Location
Naarath is mentioned in the boundary description of Ephraim as a point from which the border went out toward Jericho. It is probably identical with Naaran mentioned in Chronicles. The name may mean 'maiden' and the town has been identified with the modern Ain Duk, a spring-fed area north of Jericho.
