Naaran was a town on the eastern border of Ephraim, apparently the same as Naarath.

Location

Naaran (also spelled Naarath) was a town mentioned as lying on the eastern boundary of the territory of Ephraim. It was near Jericho and is identified by some with the modern Ain Duk, north of Jericho. Eusebius mentions a village called Naorath about five miles from Jericho.
