En Hazor
עֵין חָצוֹר/en-HAY-zor/
“Fountain of Hazor (the village)”
☩Location
En-hazor was a fortified city in the territory of Naphtali, mentioned between Edrei and Iron in Joshua's list of cities. It was distinct from the better-known Hazor listed separately in the same chapter. The name means 'fountain of Hazor' or 'fountain of the village,' suggesting it was located near a spring. It has been identified with Ain-Hazur near Tell-Hazur, or with Hazireh.
