Baal Hazor

A place near Ephraim where Absalom held his sheep-shearing feast and murdered his brother Amnon.
☩Location and Event
Baal Hazor was located beside the city of Ephraim in the territory of Benjamin, about fifteen miles north of Jerusalem. Absalom had his sheep farm there and invited all of David's sons to a feast at sheep-shearing time. At this feast, Absalom commanded his servants to kill Amnon in revenge for the rape of his sister Tamar.
