Summary
The name of two men: a descendant of Judah who lived in Jerusalem after the exile, and a leader who returned from Babylon with Ezra.

Uthai was a person of the family of Perez, son of Ammihud, who resided in Jerusalem after the return from Babylonian captivity. He is usually thought to be identical with Athaiah mentioned in the parallel passage in Nehemiah, though the genealogical details differ between the two accounts.
