Tobijah was the name of several men in Scripture, most notably a Levite sent to teach the law in Judah during Jehoshaphat's reign.

Biblical Figures

Tobijah was one of the Levites sent by King Jehoshaphat throughout Judah to teach the Book of the Law to the people. Another Tobijah returned from Babylonian exile and brought gifts of gold and silver from which crowns were made for Joshua the high priest as a memorial in the Temple. The name means 'The LORD is good.'
