Shilhi
שִׁלְחִי/SHIL-hy/
“Armed; possibly related to 'missile'”
☩Identity
Shilhi is mentioned only as the father of Azubah, who became the mother of Jehoshaphat king of Judah. Some scholars have suggested that 'Shilhi' might actually be a place name rather than a personal name, indicating that Azubah was from the town of Shilhim in southern Judah. If this is correct, Azubah would be identified as a native of Shilhim rather than the daughter of a man named Shilhi.
