Raham
רַחַם/RAY-ham/
“Pity, love”
Summary
Raham was a descendant of Caleb through Shema, mentioned in the genealogy of the tribe of Judah.
☩Genealogy
Raham was the son of Shema and father of Jorkoam, in the genealogy of the descendants of Caleb the son of Hezron, of the tribe of Judah. He appears only in 1 Chronicles 2:44. Some ancient commentators regard Jorkoam as a place-name rather than a person, making Raham the founder and prince of that locality.
