Oren
אֹרֶן/OR-en/
“Ash-tree”
☩Identity
Oren was the third son of Jerahmeel, who was the firstborn of Hezron in the tribe of Judah. His name, meaning "ash-tree" (or "cedar" in some interpretations), reflects the Hebrew practice of naming children after plants. Oren's family line is preserved in the detailed genealogies of 1 Chronicles that trace the descendants of Judah.
