Summary

Nobah was a man of the tribe of Manasseh who captured the city of Kenath and named it after himself.

Conquest of Kenath

Nobah was from the half-tribe of Manasseh that settled east of the Jordan. He went and captured Kenath and its villages, and named the city after himself. This was part of the conquest of the territory of Gilead during the time of Moses.

The City

The city of Nobah is mentioned alongside Jogbehah in Gideon's pursuit of the Midianite kings. Though Nobah renamed the city, its original name Kenath eventually prevailed again in later usage.
