Summary

Nahath was the name of several men in Scripture, including an Edomite chief and Levites who served in different periods.

The Edomite Chief

The most notable Nahath was a grandson of Esau through his son Reuel, and became a chief (duke) in Edom. He is listed among the Edomite leaders who descended from Esau.

The Levites

There were also Levites named Nahath. One was a Kohathite, an ancestor of Samuel the prophet. Another was a Levite who assisted in temple worship during the reign of King Hezekiah.
