☩Identification
Hasenuah is named as the father of Hodaviah in the genealogies of Benjamin. His descendant Sallu was among the chief residents of Jerusalem after the return from the Babylonian captivity. The name is actually 'Senuah' with the Hebrew article 'ha-' prefixed, meaning 'the Senuah.' A person called simply 'Senuah' appears as the father of Judah, who was 'second over the city' in Nehemiah's time.
