Ephlal
אֶפְלָל/EF-lal/
“Judgment”
☩In Judah's Genealogy
Ephlal was the son of Zabad and father of Obed in the lineage of Sheshan of the tribe of Judah. This genealogy is notable because Sheshan had no sons and gave his daughter to his Egyptian servant Jarha in marriage—thus Ephlal's line descended from this union between an Israelite woman and an Egyptian man who was incorporated into Judah.
