The king of Gomorrah who joined the coalition of five kings against Chedorlaomer's invading forces.

Birsha was king of Gomorrah at the time of the invasion by Chedorlaomer and his allied kings from the East. He joined with the kings of Sodom, Admah, Zeboiim, and Bela (Zoar) in their ill-fated rebellion, suffering defeat in the Valley of Siddim where the tar pits proved disastrous. Abraham subsequently rescued the captives taken in this battle.
