Crib

/KRIB/

Summary

A feeding trough for animals, noted by Isaiah and Solomon as the place where the ox knows its master.

Biblical References

Isaiah used the crib as an illustration of Israel's lack of understanding: the ox knows its owner and the donkey its master's crib, but Israel does not know God. Proverbs notes that where no oxen are, the crib is clean, but much increase comes from the strength of the ox.
