The bullock was the most valuable sacrificial animal. It was offered for sins of the high priest or the whole congregation, at the consecration of priests, and on the Day of Atonement. Multiple bullocks were sacrificed at the dedication of the tabernacle and temple.

☩Festival Offerings
Large numbers of bullocks were required for the great festivals. During the Feast of Tabernacles, seventy bullocks were offered over the seven days. Solomon offered vast numbers at the temple dedication.
