A place on the northern boundary of the promised land as described by Moses and Ezekiel.

Location

Zedad was one of the landmarks defining the northern boundary of the land of Canaan as promised to Israel. It is mentioned both in the original boundary description in Numbers and in Ezekiel's vision of the restored land. It was probably located in the vicinity of the modern Syrian city of Sadad, northeast of Damascus.
