Wilderness Station

Oboth was one of the encampments of Israel during the wilderness wanderings. After leaving Punon, the Israelites camped at Oboth before moving on to Iye-abarim on the border of Moab. The name means "water skins" or "bottles," possibly indicating a place where water was available or stored. The exact location is uncertain but was somewhere in the desert region east of Edom and south of Moab.
