Jekabzeel was a city in the extreme southern territory of Judah, mentioned in Nehemiah 11:25 as one of the places resettled by the children of Judah after the return from Babylonian exile. It is the same city called Kabzeel in Joshua 15:21 and 2 Samuel 23:20, which was the hometown of Benaiah, one of David's mighty men. The name means 'gathered by God' or 'what God gathers.'
