Solomon built an armory called the 'House of the Forest of Lebanon' to store gold shields. Hezekiah showed the Babylonian envoys his armory along with his treasuries. Nehemiah mentions the armory at Jerusalem. The term is also used figuratively for God's provisions against enemies and for the tower of David hung with warriors' shields.
