A Kohathite Levite, an ancestor of Samuel the prophet, also called Zuph.

☩Identity

Zophai appears in the genealogy of the prophet Samuel as a Kohathite Levite, being the son of Elkanah and the father of Nahath. He is apparently the same person called Zuph in 1 Samuel 1:1 and 1 Chronicles 6:35.
