Onam is the name of two men in Scripture: a son of Shobal the Horite and a son of Jerahmeel of the tribe of Judah.

Biblical Figures

The first Onam was the last named of the five children of Shobal, son of Seir the Horite, among the early inhabitants of Edom. The second Onam was a son of Jerahmeel of the tribe of Judah by his wife Atarah, and the father of Shammai and Jada. The name may be related to Onan, sharing a similar meaning of vigor or strength.
