Summary

One of David's mighty warriors, son of Elnaam, who served among the king's famous bodyguard.

Identity

Joshaviah was the son of Elnaam and, along with his brother Jeribai, served as one of David's famous bodyguard of mighty men. He appears in the expanded list in 1 Chronicles 11 but is omitted from the parallel account in 2 Samuel 23, which is less complete.
