Jesher was the first of three sons of Caleb, son of Hezron, by his first wife Azubah (1 Chronicles 2:18). His brothers were Shobab and Ardon. His name means 'upright' or 'uprightness.' He lived before 1658 B.C. (or before 1491 B.C. according to some chronologies).
