Jehalelel was a Levite of the family of Merari whose son Azariah aided in restoring the Temple services under Hezekiah around 726 BC (2 Chronicles 29:12). He was among the Levites who responded to Hezekiah's call to sanctify themselves and cleanse the house of the Lord.
