The father of Micaiah the prophet who opposed Ahab.

Identity

Imla was the father of Micaiah, the prophet who alone spoke God's true word when Ahab sought counsel about attacking Ramoth-gilead. While four hundred prophets predicted success, Micaiah son of Imla declared that Ahab would die in the battle—a prophecy that was fulfilled.
