Summary

The name of several men in the Old Testament, most notably one of the murderers of Ish-bosheth.

Murderer of Ish-bosheth

Baanah, with his brother Rechab, was a captain in the army of Ish-bosheth, Saul's son. They murdered Ish-bosheth while he slept and brought his head to David, expecting a reward. Instead, David had them executed for killing an innocent man in his own house.
