Summary

The founder of a large family that returned from Babylonian captivity with Zerubbabel.

Returned Exiles

Azgad was the ancestor of a family that returned from Babylon. The initial return numbered 1,222 (or 2,322 in some manuscripts) persons. Later, additional descendants returned with Ezra. One of the heads of this family also signed the covenant under Nehemiah.
