Samaritan Opposition

The Apharsachites were one of the groups transported to Samaria by the king of Assyria. They joined other colonists in writing to Artaxerxes opposing the Jewish rebuilding efforts. Their precise origin is uncertain—possibly Persians or a tribe from Media or Persia.
