Hill of the jawbone

Summary

Ramath-lehi ('hill of the jawbone') was the name Samson gave to the place where he slew a thousand Philistines with a donkey's jawbone.

Samson's Victory

After Samson slew a thousand Philistines using the jawbone of a donkey, he named the place Ramath-lehi, meaning 'lifting up of the jawbone' or 'hill of the jawbone.' There God also provided water from the hollow place called En-hakkore.
