Wilderness Station

Jotbathah (also called Jotbath) was a station in Israel's wilderness journey, situated between Hor-hagidgad and Abronah (Numbers 33:33-34; Deuteronomy 10:7). It is described as 'a land of brooks (or torrents) of waters,' indicating relative abundance in an otherwise arid region. The site is identified with Wady Tabah, about six miles southwest of the head of the Gulf of Aqaba, which abounds in water, tamarisks, and palms. The name means 'goodness' or 'pleasantness.'
