Location

Ezem was a city in the Negev (extreme south) of Judah, assigned to the tribe of Simeon. The name appears as Ezem in Chronicles and Azem in Joshua. Some scholars identify it with Azmon. The exact site is unknown, but it was among the southernmost settlements of Israel near the Edomite border.
