Summary

A brook or wadi in southern Judah where part of David's men remained while he pursued the Amalekites.

Pursuit of the Amalekites

After the Amalekites raided Ziklag, David pursued with six hundred men. At the Brook Besor, two hundred who were too exhausted to continue remained with the baggage while the remaining four hundred went on. After the victory, David established that those who stayed with the baggage would share equally in the spoil.
