A place near or on Mount Hermon from which the Israelites failed to drive out the Hivites.

Location

Baal-hermon appears to be associated with Mount Hermon, likely a sanctuary of Baal located there. It marked the territory that remained unconquered, where the Hivites continued to dwell among the Israelites. Some consider it identical with Baal-gad.
