Ashdoth Pisgah
אַשְׁדֹּת הַפִּסְגָּה/ASH-doth PIZ-gah/
“Slopes or springs of Pisgah”

Ashdoth-pisgah refers to the slopes, springs, or ravines at the base of Mount Pisgah in the territory east of the Jordan. The term appears in boundary descriptions of the land Israel conquered from Sihon. This region was later assigned to Reuben. Pisgah was the mountain from which Moses viewed the Promised Land before his death.
